Shootty was born from an idea based on a need: to find a photographer who could satisfy the needs in terms of quality and reliability. From that idea we have developed this innovative platform, which is intuitive, easy and quick, made for booking a professional photographer / videomaker.
Shootty, through the constant verification of profiles and albums, guarantees the end user safety in terms of quality. Our terms and conditions are designed to protect users and photographers / videomakers throughout the entire process. Thanks to the messaging system, the communication between user and photographer / videomaker is simple and safe. The guarantee and reliability are also given by our secure platform that collects and transfers payments.
When looking for a photographer or video maker on Shootty, you can narrow down the options using filters. To search for one of the photographers' albums:
On shootty.com, enter what you want to photograph or film and the dates of the day you want to perform the service.
Click on Search.
If you want, use filters (for example, the price range) to narrow down the field.
Scroll through the albums and find the one that looks best for you. You can also save your favorite photos by clicking on (Favorites), and then find them in the Dashboard as Favorites.
Click on the photographer / videomaker to open it. From here I could consult all the information available on the same photographer (for example, reviews and availability).
If you are ready, send a booking request for the service (or use the Quick booking if the photographer / videomaker has activated it).
If you believe you have found the right photographer / videomaker for you, you are ready to send a booking request:
On the page of the photographer / videomaker profile, click on send a request.
Continue by filling in the required fields that are needed to define your shooting project.
Confirm your service and request a quote. (If you see the wording Quick booking, it means that you can book the service instantly. Your booking will be confirmed automatically and you will pass to the payment).
Wait for the answer / counter-proposal of the photographer / videomaker, based on the details that define your project.
Receive the proposal from the photographer / videomaker and decide, within a time limit specified by the photographer, whether to confirm or refuse.
If you have confirmed the photographer's proposal, you can proceed with the payment.
Once payment is confirmed, you will be notified of all the data relating to your service and you will be able to start a private chat with your photographer / videomaker.
Sure, if the photographer / videomaker has not yet accepted your request, you can withdraw it and send a new one with updated data:
From the Dashboard go to My Bookings.
Click on Requests. Here all the service requests made will appear.
You can withdraw the request that has not yet been accepted by the photographer / videomaker by clicking on the Withdraw request box.
After withdrawing the request, the Make a new offer box will appear, with which you can make the reservation again, with the updated data.
Once the service has been confirmed, you are ready to pay:
Upon confirmation, you will be redirected to the secure payment page.
Click on Credit Card, if you want to pay by credit and debit card or click on Paypal. With this last payment method, you will be redirected to the site www.paypal.com, where you can complete the transaction.
Once the payment has been made and the transaction has been successfully completed, the contract between the user and the photographer / videomaker with all the data relating to the two parts can be consulted and downloaded in PDF format. From this moment the chat becomes active and it is possible to communicate with the photographer / videomaker.
Once the payment has been made, the entire amount will be charge to your credit card or debit card or to your PayPal account. We collect the payment from the Customer, and release it to the Professional once the work is done. This way both parties can rest assured that things go smoothly as planned, and that the terms and conditions are respected in case of a dispute.
The total price of a reservation is based on a number of factors. The price is charged in full at the time of payment.
The total cost is determined by:
Price of the service set by the photographer / videomaker
The service fee for the user, applied to each booking, to help Shootty perform its service efficiently and offer 24/7 support
Currency exchange commission
Value added tax (VAT)
Local taxes: any tax applied based on the position of the photographer / videomaker
Service charges for the photographer / videomaker : The costs are automatically deducted from the photographer's fee.
Service charges for the user : At the moment we do not charge service fees for services. VAT for service costs According to the laws of the jurisdiction involved, VAT may be charged on the costs of the service for the photographer / videomaker and the customer. The service costs will therefore include VAT where applicable.
The service can be canceled by the Customer up to 30 days before without being subject to any penalty. find out more. The Professional may cancel the Service only under the conditions set forth in section 6b of the terms and conditions.
When will I receive my refund?
Main credit cards (and prepaid cards): 5-15 working days
Paypal: within 24 hours
Please do not send money and notify us. Shootty has a secure online payment platform, to ensure that everything goes smoothly and we will never ask you to pay for the service booked outside of our site.
Sometimes you may be forced to pay some local taxes to your host, but this payment should only be done via Shootty and will almost always be included in the cost of the booking. Find out more.
If you paid for your booking outside of Shootty (for example by bank transfer), you may have paid for a fraudulent booking. To get help, let us know immediately. If you are not sure, you can check if your reservation was made through Shootty.
Report payment requests outside the site
If a photographer / videomaker asks you to pay outside the Shootty platform or through another company, please report it to us. You will not receive a paper or PDF invoice from a host or from Shootty where you are asked to pay something.
If a host uses one of these methods, report it: Western Union, MoneyGram, cashier's check, money order, Liberty Reserve, PostePay recharge. To notify us of a suspected scam: Send us an email message to firstname.lastname@example.org.
Types of scams
Do not share your email address before a booking is accepted and do not transfer money outside the Shootty system; he also carefully observes the emails received presumably from Shootty.
The most common scam attempts include:
Advance fraud: someone offers to reward you in cash or otherwise if you pay through an external service to Shootty.
Phishing: someone sends you an email or a link that seems to come from Shootty or another reliable site. These messages are designed to trick you into personal information, such as passwords or other email addresses. Phishing messages may contain malware, malicious software that allows access to your computer to extract personal information, including passwords.
Price fraud: someone makes you a very advantageous offer for an announcement if you pay or send a deposit by bank transfer.After receiving your money, the scammer will not provide you with the advertised service reservation.
Excess payment: someone offers to pay the host an amount higher than the price of the reservation, and then ask him to pay the difference in cash.
Booking fraud through third parties: someone offers to book and pay for a Shootty ad via a website or a third-party service, often boasting of having a coupon or a Shootty discount. These bookings are usually paid using stolen credit cards.
Note: any booking made outside of Shootty violates our Terms of Service. If we believe that a reservation has been made through a third-party service, we may cancel the reservation and deactivate the accounts.
You can register using your email address or Facebook account. Registering and creating a Shootty account is free. After registering, make sure you complete your account before making reservations.
The Dashboard is divided into:
1. My Bookings
Requests: to view all service requests made from your profile, also using the related search filters.
Messages: shows the message history between photographers / videomakers and user.
Calendar: keeps track of all services already performed or scheduled.
Payments: allows you to view the history of payments, received and made.
2. My Profile (only for photographers)
Photo Services: upload the video and / or photo services you want to make available on Shootty, cataloging them in categories. Give each service a price range and describe it briefly.
Location: specify the places where you can shoot.
Availabilities: check the services you have performed and that you have planned.
About me: answer questions in an optional manner, so that you can get to know the Shootty community.
Account: manage the description of your profile, entering or modifying the requested data. Verify your account: send us an identity document that also contains your home address. The Shootty team will check and, if so, the profile will be marked with a check, indicating the authenticity of the same.
Notifications: manage the notifications you want to receive
Email: manage the email address of your profile
Password: change your old password
Delete account: choose whether to permanently delete your profile on Shootty or just deactivate it. In the first case, all your information will be permanently deleted without being recoverable. If the profile is deactivated only, the information will be kept safe and can be retrieved when you want to reactivate your profile.
